fox hunt

how might we given private interest conceive of a fox
in the springtime a painting by rubens enormous
or the red livery of workers missing digits
neither an artifact how might we decondition schadenfreude
there is food and there is cruelty and there are lemons for both
what do we mean when we say fox and by that i mean*

* who owns the signifier/even the mauve dusk on indiana corn is an enterprise/i’m cynical

of a september wind/of the phony proposition it carries/fox too is sublimated/someone replaced
our words with chewing gum/my mouth is tired and tastes bitterly of itself/
