A monkey dies in your head. The
other monkeys grieve.

It is especially hard on me, says
one monkey, because I was
orphaned, and this
is like my mom and dad dying all
over again.

Another monkey says, we are
all orphaned, and your
parents did not die, they left
you because you were overly
sentimental.

Little do they know:
the dead monkey was a robot monkey
that you put in their horde to see how
they deal with trauma and grief.

Little do you know:
you are also a robot monkey.

Are you writing this down?
What a scientist you are.
